The sign up for the GV Tennis Club Winter League will be January 4, 2008 at 12-1 p.m. at Desert Hills. Please try to attend this brief meeting to get to know your captains and fellow players. Play will commence on Sunday January 6, 2008 and continue with the following listed times and places. Hope to see you there. If you cannot make this meeting, please contactl your captain listed below and request to be added to their roster.

WE HAD A GREAT TOURNAMENT - GOOD FOOD - LOTS OF FUN FOR PLAYERS AND WATCHERS! THANKS TO ALL WHO PLAYED, THANKS TO ALL WHO WORKED TO PROVIDE THE FOOD, THE TENNIS AND FUN!

So we missed October - call it Nktoberfest then. When? Sunday, November 4, 2007. Where? West Center. Cost? $5 for tennis club members $10 for non members. Limited to the first 48 who sign up. Where do I sign up? West center at the Reservations area. Fill in the entry form and put your name on the list, leave the registration form and your money.

Some will play at 10:00 and some at 11:30. There will be beer and brats along with other good food. Carl will be cooking!

BE SURE TO PUT YOUR NAME ON THE LIST ALONG WITH COMPLETING THE ENTRY FORM!

Carl will be starting the clinics on Monday, October 15th. They will be every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 2 P.M. - 4 P.M. at Desert Hills tennis courts.

This is a drop in activity to practice strokes, drill and play practice games. The clinics are open to both men and women of all abilities.

There is no fee.

DATES OF PLAY: October 5 through December 21, 2007

DATE tO SIGN UP: All sign up will be Friday, October 5, 2007 at Desert Hills.= from 12 to 2 p.m.

Players will be registered in the order in which their request arrives.
Once all positions are filled, additional registrants will be listed as substitutes.
Please register only yourself.
Register only if you will be in Green Valley to play on the start date.

Sign-up for fall leagues will be Friday, October 5, 2007 at Desert Hills at noon and play will commence Tuesday October 9, 2007.

The Winter 2008 Sign-up will also be at Desert Hills at noon, January 4 and play will begin on Tuesday, January 8, 2008.

Men’s play will be as follows:
Tuesday 12:00-2:00 p.m. at Desert Hills captain to be announced.
Wednesdays and Thursdays will be between 12:00-2:00 p.m. at West Tennis Center. Captain for Wednesdays will be Jerry Rambo until Hugh Bennet’s arrival. Jim Donahue will captain Thursdays.
Friday will be at Desert Hills from 12:00-2:00 p.m. and the captain will be Norm Garneau.

Women’s play will be:

Tuesday 12:00-2:00 p.m. at West Center, Captain is Corinne Berglund, 625-9535 -

We would like to increase our attendance for these leagues so give me an idea of your interest ahead of time for the days you desire and a estimated time of your arrival.
