RAMADA UPDATE
The West Center Tennis Ramada is going to be a reality in 2006.
Construction costs have doubled in some areas. GVR is having problems not only with the ramada but the additions to Las Campanas and Canoa Ranch. They have been forced to cut down on the size.
Jack Sharrock and I have been flustered at times with these budget concerns and design changes but feel this latest scenario is doable.
In the meeting on August 3rd the contractor got competitive bids and that has gotten the bottom line down where we can start.
Timetable:
August 22 final drawing
September 15 present to P & E Committee
September 26 GVR Board final approval
October–December construction
